Hi Guys

sorry for the abrupt post.

Im borrowing my dads Grand Vitara and i have lost the master key, at least i think its the master key!

It was a grey key and the others are black.

I have been told that the key has a chip in?

Suzuki want £150 for a replacement key.

Is there a cheaper way of me sorting this or do i have to go to them?

Thanks in advance

Seen this before with a mates EVO and the only way he could do it was through the main dealer.

Although it's expensive some thing like that i would go to the main dealer, at least you will be covered then if some thing was to break.

thinking about it, you might not be able to get a new key without the master as its the one that holds al the data. you might need to replace all the keys/locks and have it reprogrammed.

just out of interest, why were you using the master key?

in future id advise you to keep the master key somewhere safe....

it then means you can get a key cut just about anywhere
