Hi
I have a Grand Vitara 5 door which has just failed an MOT It is a 2007 DDiS
The rear centre seat belt doesn't retract.
I was told it may just be a paper clip or something that has been lodged in the mechanism. Can anyone tell me how to get to the inertia reel bit as I have been quoted £122 + VAT just for the belt.

you may find its stuck on the ratchet. remove it look for little slide in clips remove it from the cover and you will have to pull it slightly to get it off the lever ratchet then slowly let it rewind. when it stops, do it again and again and again till it goes all the way bak in. very time consuming but you will get there in the end

Thanks, but how do I get to the ratchet??
Does the trim come off the seat easily as I don't want to damage it
