Which diesel fits the sami the easiest I've been told it's a vw motor?? Which model?? I have both am 88 and 87 (pretty sure they are the same except a couple cosmetics on the dash) or if anyone knows what car it's out of  I would really appreciate the help

easiest diesel conversion is the peugeot diesel engine, you only need an adaptor plate.

otherwise, theres a conversion kit available from the states to fit a vw diesel engine but it must have mechanical fuel injection...

Thanks I apreciate the reply I didn't realize most people on here are across seas from me. Sounds like I'm sticking with the 1.6 swap

You can put the 1.6 or the 1.9 tdi vw diesel in your Sammys I have one with a 1.9 turbo diesel in it right now and am building a 1.6 for one of my other rigs ACME will sell you what you need to do it
