You what mate
I reckon you'd have a lot of trouble as they're too long. How would you get them to align with the chassis mounting holes and the shackle holes?
You'd have to put a lot of bend on them and even if you managed, what would the ride be like? It'd probably be very hard and bumpy as the shackles would already be pushed all the way forward.
I think if it was me, I'd either buy the correct sized uprated springs, add-a-leafs or use the removed rear springs leafs to boost the standard front ones.
However, until you try these things, I suppose you can never really know if it's possible or how it'd go. Let us know what you decide, and if you go the route of Rascal rear springs fitted to the front of your SJ, please, please, please do a pictorial coz I could really do with a laugh watching you attempt to shoe horn them springs in _________________ Alan

Yeah it seems longer springs with missing link / d-flex shackles are a common upgrade in the USA. Here's a link I found showing the job being done. _________________ Alan

well i could do that, but i got add a leafs on the way so ill use them.
however,i tried the sj rear springs on the front and by moving the axle forward 30mm and using 2" extended shackles they went on but youd need to cut a bit out of the buttresses to allow movement on the shocks.
So rascal springs will fit on the front with a few tiny modifications.
Im not up for it now as ive paid for add a leafs but on my next sammy who knows _________________ Ive created a monster............. |
