I have a question.
If you remove the rear seats and rear seatbelts from your vehicle, will it fail the Mot test if it is still listed as a 4 seater on the V5 Document. Or do you have to change it to a two seater. |

Hi mate,
I don't think it makes any difference as the MOT tester only checks that whatever is fitted, is working properly. So if you had rear seats but no seat belts, it'd fail, but if you have no seats or belts, he wont even look at them as they aren't faulty, they just don't exist.
As for the V5, Technically it's still a 4 seater as it hasn't been modified so that it can't have 4 seats, it's just had them removed and they could be refitted if you wanted.
That's just as far as I know anyway mate. I hope that helps _________________ Alan
