My '89 Vitara cuts out when I lift off the throttle. Its like switching the key off. The engine cuts in again when it is given a bit of throttle.  Any ideas?

Hey any luck with your fault as my 95 Vitara does this on long runs on the motor way, if you have been revving over 3500rpm an have to shut off it dies but then cuts back in after some coaxing.
