|
|
Hi,ya`ll,ive been attacking my sammy with everything i can get on it,16"wheels,spacers,tyres,spoa,2"shackle lift, breathers,su carb, snorkel, stripped out, buckets and harnesses, poly bushes and now i want to get the springs uprated if possible as they seem to be bowing in the opposite direction as do the others ive seen on this forum that have shackle lifts and spoa.
What would be the best sort of springs to fit onto these and if i cant do it then what would be the best shocks to go for as ive only got standard ones on at the moment??
cheers

Just had a thought, will a body lift be a good idea with regard to getting the springs looking like they are bowing the right way??? _________________ Ive created a monster............. |

just been on the calmini website and they dont give warranty for the springs if they are usde with a spoa conversion,so what does that tell ya,walk away mcduff walk away!!!
I think ill take the front shakle lift off today, but leave the back as theres no weight at the back!!!!!
cheers though!!!

Dont actually know what i want/need,ill try this set up at whaddon next sunday and see how it goes, just seems as though the springs are not meant to be bowing the opposite way!!!!
Ill drop the front shackles down to standard as believe it or not i have spoa and the 2" shackle lift and my mate only has the 2" shackle lift, both got same height tyres but my zook is only 1" higher than his, work that out??????
I reckom the shackle lift is forcing the springs downwards hence not doing a lot realy!!!!
Maybe some stiffer dampers might hold it up a bit more????? _________________ Ive created a monster............. |

Dampers shoudn't make any difference.
What you need is stiffer springs, but stiffer springs will reduce your articulation.... what to do eh? _________________
