This post has been going on for a while now. I've just read back through and can't believe how my SJ was when I got it compared to now.
I am about to replace the engine and gearbox with a 1.9 diesel Peugeot engine and LDV gearbox.

I'll put some pictures on here when it's done.
In the mean time, here's a few pictures of the Sj in it's current state.

Nope, even they've been changed. I think I'm still using the same gear nob and 16 of the original wheel nuts!
Also look at the first page of this thread, it was originally a black and silver shed. By the time it had turned orange (supposed to have been red), it had already had a fair amount of surgery.

Looking forward to actually meeting up with you again for a bit of mucky fun.  Shocked
I'll see what dates stuff is going on localish and let you know. Obviously as you know, I can't make the Whaddon experiance until May coz I'm so damm busy  Evil or Very Mad

Just stick to beaking the starter motor mate, you're a professional starter motor swapper now, why go outside of your comfort zone!

I dont think you will see me at Whaddon again. Even though i love the off-roading. Not being mechanicly minded, I just cant afford the repairs anymore. Everytime i go off-road i always have to get the brakes sorted and thats £250 a time. I only seem to use my SJ for air ambulance events now, beens its the only orginal left

It would be nice mate, we never have achieved it yet.
I'm going to try for the next Abingdon 4x4 festival this year, might see you there if you're going, if not somewhere else before.

That's a shame Ricky. However, with you're bad back I'm not sure you should be bumping around Whaddon anyway. Maybe you should fix your SJ up nicely and stick to the rallies for your own sake.
