No point in doing things by half mate, in for a penny in for pound!
I'm still hoping to have it ready for Sibertoft on the 31st _________________ Alan

Getting the car done slowly.
The chassis is just about finished, still working on the shell but getting there! Not sure it's gonna be finished by 31st though in time for Sibertoft

I'd like to get to Sibertoft Liam but I think there may be a little too much left to finish. I'll have it all bolted together this weekend but I can't be sure it'll be fully sorted so yeah, maybe you should go enjoy yourself over Whaddon and we'll catch up next time.
Glad you like the progress so far. _________________ Alan

Had the body on for the first time today for a trial fit. Everything lines up nicely and it certainly stands a bit taller
Took it back and undersealed it all, so hopefully it'll be dry enough to fit properly tomorrow

No mate the shackles are heavy duty but about standard length. It's all been done by modifying the chassis.
The mounting points for the shackles and the fixed mounting for the springs have been cut off and repositioned. On top of that look closely at the front springs, I turned them around so that the fixed mounting is at the front and the shackle is under the footwell. _________________ Alan

Done a little bit more, got my new seats in and added a bit of chequer-plate to the rock-sliders

Hello Rhys,
Nearly the whole car is home made, I never buy anything, just keep cutting and welding
It started life as a knackered old Samurai that had been abused over Toms farm in Wales. It was completely rotten and had even been on it's roof.
I bought a tidy little SJ410 that was partially stripped and didn't run from a girl on this forum. That's where the shell came from.
The chassis was stripped, cut and modified to suit my needs and the rest I just keep making and adding.
It's got a 1600 Vit engine, SJ410 transfer box, reversed front shackles, Rascal rear springs, home made uprated front springs, poly bushes, axle breathers, rock sliders, home made snorkel, MG ZR seats, roof bar, all new bearings, new brakes (soon to have rear disks), the shell has all the rust cut out and welded up properly then undersealed inside and out, the front arches are about to be squared off like the back ones, the list just goes on and on. I dread to think how much time I've put into it.
I love the bloody thing though. I'll put an up-to-date picture on here in a few days when the front wings are finished. _________________ Alan
