I've had my vit for almost 7 months now, and have never had her serviced, and know that the previous owner (my uncle) didnt have her serviced either! so therefore I think its about time this was sorted .
My question is ......do you guys recommend a full service, and what kinda price should I be looking at? _________________ - Lovin' my Zuki |

Really do it your self there so simple to work on, you should be looking at doing plugs, oil and air filter, oil, take the dizzy cap off clean up the contacts and rotor arm. If you want to get really involved check the diff and gearbox/transfer case levels, but a normal garage service won't include this.
You can get all the service parts from e-bay excluding oil for around £20-£25
When did it last have a cam belt if theres no evidence and its done more than 60,000 get it changed ASAP should be looking around £70 to a ton to do this. _________________ There not canoes more of a snorkel and aero aid rolled into one |

I am a meer woman! lol...and although I will have a go at anything, and am attempting to do a lot of bodywork and little things myself, some things I would prefer to be done by a professional or at least someone who knows exactly what they are doing, I just dont want to get ripped off, Im aware that some garages will take advantage of a woman who isnt completely knowledgeable about motors etc....I'm trying to learn and do most things myself, but alas sometimes us gals DO need a man I guess lol _________________ - Lovin' my Zuki |

Forgot to mention in the post above also that I have found out some paperwork that I got when I acquired my vit .... it appears that the fuel and oil filters and spark plugs where changed in 2007!! there is also some mention of CB278SE Eurolite 10w-40 4x5LTPE (x2) ...whatever that means? lol
Also I have posted about the cam belt thing in another section somewhere, but not had a response yet! lol _________________ - Lovin' my Zuki |
