I have a 1999 2.0 TD GV and am considering fitting an electric fan as with the air con on, I am finding the old girl a bit gutless and the viscous fan is roaring away, sapping valuable horsepower, especially on long hills.
I live in Gibraltar and drive a lot in Spain, where obviously it is quite hot for much of the time.
Kenlowe have not been too specific with their reply, so I wondered if anyone has any experience with these and can tell me which is the best fan to fit ?
Thanks in advance Very Happy

I would go for a Kenlowe fan for sure!  thumbleft  Alot of Landrover owners have done is fit the fan to the inside of the bonnet to draw the heat through the engine bay.
Perhaps consider adding a little height to the hinge end of the bonnet? Thats what we used to do when racing cars back in the day. Adds airflow to the engine bay. Hope this helps.  Very Happy

I'd say that's one of Jules' pre-modified Kenlowe kits. The fan guard has had the mounts cut away so it fits within the original fan framework. The latter needs some cutting away to accomodate the Kenlowe guard.
All this is described in Jules' How To on the club forum. If you go there and do a search, it's not difficult to find. This should explain all you need to know. The control box from the V6 isn't suitable for the 1.8 system. You'll have to use your own, but I'm pretty sure all the questions are answered.
