i have a factory stock jimny ( new model one) had it for a few years now and wanna do a lil upgrade to it, i doh want any noisy ride, just want to boost it without any excessive noise. i wanted to know what i may need to get to do this project such as turbo size, intercooler size, piping, etc.and what the cost might be? also would it be cheaper to get the parts out of the already turbo jimny and just put it in, or can i get new parts and work from there which i would prefer once the price is good, thanks. |

hi there
i have looked around for a turbo charger for my jimny before. but i can only seem to find a supercharger that will work. it is made by rotrex and i think it is a couple of thousand pound, i ve also seen some electric super cargers that are a fraction of this price and claim to give a noticable boost, there is one eram check it out it looks good.
thanks kristian |

hey dude thanks for that comment, but dont buy the eram, its nothing else but a big blower, it does nothing to increase HP, there are turbos available for the jimny becuase the older jimny came factory turbo, from what i was told that one of the safest turbos that u can use is eithere a TD04 or a TD05 turbo, both are made by garrette and work well, u could check it out, as to clear up some info on the eram thing, check it out on youtube and u will see, there is a guy who did a test on all of them and there aint nothing 2 gain, as such what kinda power do u expect to get out of a US $30 car upgrade, if it was so turbo chargers would be obsolete, just some food for thaught. |
