Hi,
Hope someone can give me some advise. My wifes SGV V6 92 k on the clock, never had a problem since new and always serviced myself. Started car as normal, 5 minutes down the road the engine decided to fly by wire and throttle started to operate itself ie 3 0r 4000 rpm.  Got the car home. Now starting from cold the revs fluctuate from a 1000 to 1500 rpm, press throttle it goes to 3 or 4000 and stays there for a while then drops back to fluctuating idle again. Can't find anything wrong under the bonnet but have a check engine light showing. I am right in saying there is a sensor problem and the car needs a main dealer diagnistic scan. Would be interested to know if anyone has had a similar problem and  can offer advise.
Thanks
Stan.
