Hi,im just about to buy some 50mm wheel spacers from the states for my sammy to give an extra 4" width but read somewhere that it could possibly knacker my wheel bearings due to the weight loading.

Just thought id ask some of you more clued up people as im new to this and dont know!!

Ive had a spring over axle conversion done on it and will be running 16" rims with what can only be described as tractor tyres!

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

Liam

Yeah spacers, offset rims etc do put extra strain on the bearings but to be honest you're probably gonna eat bearings anyway with your new setup and your new found love of playing in the mud Laughing .

Are your 16"s offset? If so I'd leave the spacers until you see what it's like....

cheers dudue, hers a pic of my little sammy in action and im well informed that the rims  ive got on will turn inside out and give 5" total extra width thus eliminating the need for spacers, but hey why not turn them and put on spacers making 9" extra width, how cool would that be Twisted Evil
