|
|
Head gasket blew a few weeks ago, and my son did not spot problems (17 years old .......!) head has been crack tested and planed and is now back on the car. Engine will start instantly but only run for 5/10 minutes then dies with re hot exhaust. Have tried running without catalyst in case it was blocked - no joy. One engine electronic checker indicates a problem with cam phase sensor, but another does not .... ANy good ideas, please ?
Thanks,
Bob |

ecu should store anu fault codes so it might be worth getting it checked with a 3rd reader to be sure.
if nothing coming up, go from there.
btw, what do you mean by hot exhaust, glowing red etc? or just smelling a bit burnt? _________________ the car in front is a toyota...
the car pulling it out of the mud is a suzuki |

Thanks, Zocko
Will try to get a third party verdict - I need someone who really understands the ECU, and that person is hiding at the moment !
Cheers
