try tightening the accelerator cable at the throttlebody end.
take up the slack, run the engine to running temp, then tighten/slacken the cable till you get a good idle.
thats a temp fix till you sort whats causing it.
is it an injection engine? _________________ if its got t*ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble!! |

I had the same problem,
checked timing, plugs, leads, fuel lines etc.
but in the end I took it to a local Suzuki dealer,
it only took him 5 minutes to find
a vacuum rubber tube under the air filter had perished / cracked with old age.
So a new 3 inch piece of tube and problem cured,
cost me £15

good luck

cheers Paul
i will check this , although this might sound a bit mad but ive replaced the radiator as it was knackered and the idle problem isnt half as bad. maybe coincidence.
thanks again . |
