Hi My problem is getting to be a real pain, I have a J reg jlx 8v vitara. I have replaced the head gasket, but since doing this when I put on the lights or the rear window or the int blower  the rev's pick up  Evil or Very Mad but they do not pick up a little, they go from 1000rpm to just about 3000 rpm.
What could it be?  Question
The timing is ok (8 degree before TDC), or it appears to be when I do not have lights or other on.
Not sure what to try next  Crying or Very sad    It can get quite hairy at night when youre car tries to go faster then I indend it to do  Rolling Eyes

Please Help Dan

And yes my spelling is carp, sorry

if its a carb engine, itll be a faulty idle-up control.

think its a green plug on the carb.

mine done the same, i just unplugged it, all better now.

its just there to compensate the idle revs for the increased alternator load.
