i have blown the 1.3 engine in my samurai and have been given a 1.6 vitara engine will it fit and has anyone done this swap and knows what is involved |

has anyone here fitted a vit engine to their sj?
if so was it any better as i have a vit engine sitting here and have been debating weather to fit it or not, i would like more road speed/power is it noticable? |

im schooling myself on the swap just now (amongst others ). supposed to be fantastic, huge difference.

i have been told that you have to adapt one of the engine mounts and drill the bottom two bell housing bolts apparently the top 2 line up,
once i have done this do you know what the other problems there are eg inlet manifold carburettor exhaust and engine management computer etc |

i belive the exhaust and inlet manifolds all although i would enlarge the diametor of the inlet manifold. the wiring just plugs in as there is no ecu |

my engine also just blew either the crank or a couple pistons completely out the side. would a 1.6 16 valve need new drive shafts or would the stock ones fit? |
