So you couldn't turn the hubs from free to lock ? if its in 2wd the transfer box wont help until you get the hubs into lock sometimes if they ain't been used for ages they get seized or a bit sticky you can take them off and have a look/service them, if there knackered and wont shift hit e-bay for a new set. _________________ There not canoes more of a snorkel and aero aid rolled into one |

I would go for a drive down the road in 2wd and listen to the sound carefully, then put it in 4wd and listen for a faint whine from the front diff this will tell you the transfer box is working.
Then its time to go back to the hubs when you turn them to lock can you feel a slight click this is them locking to the drive shaft?
Couple of options go and play on some wet grass and see what's spinning in the various settings or jack up the front end put it in 4wd and spin the wheels by hand if the hubs are working the other wheel will rotate in the lock position and not in the free. _________________ There not canoes more of a snorkel and aero aid rolled into one |
