Progress report:
since the last picture i have
Cut the roof inline with front doors
Cut boot door to make tailgate
Added structural beams to put strength back into body
Replaced my fuel tank as the old one had a hole in side of tank from when the previous owner had it
And ive also wired up a second battery to the rear of the truck as a slave battery to run the spot ligts off of
I thought about welding the back to the front got it all in placethen changed my mind and here are a few more pics to show you
This is originaly what i wanted to do but just before i started welding i thought of something else . . .
I wanted Something a lil different as ive already seen this done i wanted to do my own thing And i thought of this . . . so i put it together roughly . . .
Then i started welding (which is not too easy with one hand! Especialy when that hand aint your dominent hand!)
But like left footed breaking, its hard aty first then after a while u get used to it!
Looks a bit mad at the mo but will take shape 2morow When i put slanted struts in!! Hope you like It!
More pics 2morow! |

Okay got a lil bit more done today, got another beam welded on and sealed some lil holes in roof! But the little bro revealed that he cut a wire for something and didnt know what it was. . . . turns out to be the wires for the fuel tank!! so spent ages chasing wires back upto the main loom!! also while i had wires and everything out i removed everything i dont need from behind the dash I.e heating matrix and other switches and dials that i didnt need! just kept the speedo and rev counter and front light switches! dash is now back on and all the holes where its missing bits are going to be covered with bits alumilium for blankers! Should look good
Heres some pics!
Then it raind for a bit
Then it stopped
Put some littel trims on the sharp bits
Wireing loom
Empty dash
Im now in 2 minds weather toput the back door back on and have the sand boards across the top of the back or just use sand boards as the back door
What do you all think people?? _________________ Drive It Like You Stole It!! |
