thot id share my progress with you all. waiting on parts still but keepin myself busy.

stripped the whole rear end, axle, tank, shocks etc.

and set about them wi mr angry Twisted Evil , with a flapwheel to reduce his destruction Laughing

and gave it all a paint/schutzing.

rear axle looks ok now Very Happy

I'm stayin tuned in for updates even tho I ended up finding me a 91 dodge ram50 sport.. it's been in the shop for a week now cuz they keep getting the wrong parts!!?? so they say. Anyhow, she need work, tho not much, I am still finding your thread inspirational! Good on ya mate;)

Oh no, she's got a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder engine:D.. very small truck, price was just too good to refuse!
I actually plan to fix her up while i keep looking for a good 4x4

well at first when friends were telling me about the truck, i was reluctant just because it was a dodge, but some farmers i work with and know kept mentioning the good engine it has.. apparently Mitsubishi builds em tough!Smile

the japanese build well, im amazed by them.

and not just as far as auto manufacture.

couldn't agree more, grandpa owned the first Honda dealership in Montreal and just sold it last year... i still love em and Sushi rules:P.. oh and wasabi peas mmm lol

had a few busy days in the garage.

springs buffed and painted, and add-a-leafs and nu poly bushes added to em.
both axles buffed and painted. nu grooved discs,nu rear cylinders,calipers overhauled and nu pads n shoes on
steering bars buffed and painted.
and front and rear underbody coated wi fresh stoneguard(stil got middle to do when i remove the t/box)
shackles painted and new u-bolts.

all re-assembled and lookin like this:







lifted the rear 40mm and the rear 70mm, sorted the saggy springs a treat Very Happy



then its the next battle

jeeps bin moved into our new workshop, and she seems to be gettin there now!

offside almost dun, markin out the hole for the filler cap was fun Laughing



then i set about checkerplating the foook outta the rear bed











gettin there, still looks far from done tho.

starting the painting tmoro, easier while the dash is out methinks.
