as far as gettin the rot outta it, i just went in for the guns blazing approach hahah, angle grinder and jigsaw, cut everything c*ap right out.

started on my wheelarch idea.

its kinda crude i suppose but i had access to some steel barrels.
so i thought id make sum arches with them. ive only tacked them with a couple of screws so far.
gonna weld them in properly once im totally happy with them.

think they look quite good myself. really sturdy too.

Are you gonna be offroading this beast? If so try to arches projecting so that they cover the tread of the tyre but the bulge of the sidewall sticks out Wink . I've lost count of the number of times I've dragged my wheelarches along a bank, mincing them in the process, the lads with the wheels sticking out a bit further hardly get any damage... Embarassed

WEEEEEELL....... while ive bin skint,waiting for payday, which has halted production in the body/braking departments.
ive bin getting busy in my garage with sandpaper and a roller.

i cut up, bent and rewelded the wraparound type bullbar that came on the jeep.
and gave it a wee coat of paint.



its a bit rough but itll do

next i started out wi this



and ive ended up wi this



lookin not too shabby i dont think.

im a cabinetmaker to trade so thats probably helped me somewhere.
i absolutely detest having to pay someone to do something for me as well, as the saying goes, if you want something done do it yourself Wink
