You have to log up a number of posts and be a member for a fixed time before you're allowed to add pics, I think it's 10 posts and a week (so get typing Wink )

Looking forward to seeing pics of this Super Vit  Surprised

I see, just my luck. Got some decent pics of the vit ready and waiting to show all. It's a super vit to me but I'm just starting out in the off roading world so maybe classed as a bambino vitara to some on here. Had some fun in it since its been taxed and I have to say it has exceeded my expectations totally.

Should be going to Frickley off roading centre next weekend so will have to see how well it performs there  Very Happy

Haven't had chance to check it out yet, plus my bro does most of the work on the vit so its when he has time. Been using it blissfully unaware that it had a hole of some sort in it. Only found out when we brimmed it on Sunday and made a nice pool on the forecourt

Been there, done that.... "Can't leave it pointing downhill, all my petrol's peeing out!!!" Embarassed  Embarassed

I managed to get a new tank off ebay for £20 for my Sammy, it was for a model with a different sender but I made it fit and it's been fine for a few years now Cool .

If the leak is coming from the tank itself, DON'T try to weld it! Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

I needed a new tank for a Vit I had a while back but all the ones in the breakers had holes stabbed in em to get the fuel out so I bought the best one with 4 holes in for a tenner then filled it with water to the 1st hole the welded them all up, I then couldn't got the water out due to an anti syphon device so drilled a hole in it again Twisted Evil to get the water out and re welded that up- it never leaked again and I'm still alive Laughing

Ooooh, I wouldn't risk it myself! Embarassed

I know of a couple of local guys who've died doing that.

I tried it with a lighter first Twisted Evil So long as you fill it with water first it'll be fine. No matter how long it's been without fuel there will still be vapour which'd explode, I see Scrapheap challenge cutting/welding a gas cylinder filled with water, my cars are based on that program Very Happy
