we have just bought a vitara estate the problem is it seems to feel really light on the road as if it bounces across the road while your driving it.

i have checked the tyre pressure and they are ok.

is this how they are as its a 4x4 or could there be something wrong?

also on the front wheels there are dials on the centre caps with the options free and lock could this be where the problem is?

we have came out of a small car into this jeep so just checking that it is normal to feel a bit light on the road - PLEASE ADVISE.

they are light on the steering.

what size tyres have you got fitted
tyre pressures should be 27psi
the hubs should be in free when on the road.
