hi everybody, I dont really like the gay blue colour of my new toy so thinking about giving it a cheap paint job, I was thinking of smooth black hammerite, has any body done this?? i would use a roller the body work of my vit is pretty poor with rust and scrapes etc so Id waz back the rust treat it and fill over it and i would sand down the whole body and roller it.... as you can see in the pick the other patch work that has been done looks pretty *beep* to be honest. but i payed a very good price for it so not really fussed but dont wanna be laffed off the lanes with the colour, its already bad enought bein a soft top lol

nowt wrong with a soft top, I have one a GV1600 but in black ... and brown from the dirty back roads.
I have seen one / heard about one done with blackboard paint. A matt black ... interesting.
if you look at youtube vids there are a lot of soft tops going off raod in all sorts of colours,
here is one similar to yours.
