Hi knight,
I've not done these mods myself but you will probably have to modify the gearstick holes as a 2 inch lift will take the gearbox away from the hole and the gearstick would probably foul on the edges.
Steering linkages will have to be thought about as there would be a gap to bridge there.
Brake lines will have to be extended.
Depending how they are mounted, modifications might have to be made to the bumpers and how they are attached.
that's all i can think of for now _________________ Suzuki now gone, replaced by Pajero's |

I don't know about vitara's, but you can do a 2" body lift ont he SJ without changing anything. The bracket holding the front brake pipes needs to be undone temorarily (because you need to lift the body alot higher than 2" to get the spacers in, then lower it back down. You just bolt it back in place when you're finished, there's enough play in the pipes to cope with this. The only other thing is the fuel filler hose, you can probably get away with stretching it but the easiet way is to get a few inches of stainless steel pipe and couple of jubilee clips, then cut it and extend it.
The steering slip joint is OK, it takes it no probs. IIRC the gearstick hole is ok, but the T-stick hole might need a bit of a trim or it'll tend to get knocked out of 4H. The front bumper will need repositioning, but most SJs used for offroading don't have front bumpers anyway:P (Except mine )
As you can see I've investigated this a lot, even made a start on manufacturing my own lift kit, but I still ain't got round to actually doing it! _________________
