Hi, I have a 58 GV. It has HID lights for dip and hb3 bulbs for main beam, standard on this year I'm assuming. The passenger side main beam wasn't projecting as clearly as the drivers side so I replaced both bulbs with new ones. Upon inspecting the fittings as I changed them I noticed the bit where the bulb sits inside the rubber back cover( Grey insert in the rubber) isn't sitting as far in as the drivers side one. This means the bulb isn't sitting quite far enough into the lens as it should therefore causing a widened , less focused beam. I tried to push it in with a gentle force but it seems to be binding or stuck on the rubber. Does anyone know if the rubber comes off the light unit to try and refit the grey piece or would some silicone spray maybe help it slide in? Thought I would ask before trying anything else thanks.
