I have a 2.0L TD vitara and was thinking of running it on vegetable oil as I have a friend who runs his van on it does anyone know if it would runb ok or would i cause me problems with the turbo overheating.

Leave it alone! it will run on veggy carp but not for long. Diesel has its own lubrication, veggy oil does not. The old diesels would run on anything, pug hdi,s dont like it, and it wears the pump out in a very short time.
