|
|
Hi All,
On the way home last night my Vitara lost power and seemed to be fuel starved. It almost died on me, but kept idling. I managed to get it home ( only 200 yards ) where it idled a little rough, but didn't stall. I have noticed that when I refuel, there is a lot of air pressure on opening the cap, also it takes a while to fire up initially, I live in Spain, and at the time the temperature was about 34c. I put the starting down to fuel evaporation, and the air build up to the high temperatures here, but now I'm not sure.
The car was serviced about 1500 miles ago (last year), and had a new radiator, radiator cap and thermostat in May, so I'm sure the fault lies elsewhere. I have read some posts, and wonder if the problem is with the fuel filter, if so, where is it please. No overheating issues at all, just loss of power.
Any help would be appreciated,
Regards,
Tiddy |
