I would like to fit a second battery to my SJ (there is space on the other side of the engine bay after all!).
Has anybody tried this?
Am I losing my marbles?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello there, i just registered into this forum and found many of the questions or treads go unanswered. I though i could chip in a bit.

Here in Malaysia, many Jimny SJ413 does a second battery so as to support our constant use of A/C and winching. You got to make a bracket to support the battery first of all, and wire up everything with a low height battery such as the DIN55 batt. Careful not to let the battery terminal touching the bonnet.

Hi there

Many thanks for the response and you are quite right - many threads are 'lost'!
This one has been curtailed as I sold my SJ413 a couple of years ago - and I didn't fit a second battery.
I am an active Radio Amateur hence my need for more power - but bought  a bigger 4x4 instead!
Thanks for coming back
