Folks a plea for help. My wife owns a Grand Vitara 2ltr petrol. The timing chain rattles and every now and again makes one hell of a racket as if the chain is slapping hard against the housing. The local garage (a friend who I trust) says it needs a new chain but it's not something they do (mainly servicing etc). He did suggest a local guy who works on engines but he has said he doesn't have a cam lock tool and doesn't seem keen on doing it. The suzuki main dealer wants £1600 plus vat. Do any of you know a garage in the Chester/Manchester/Liverpool area that could do a good job at a reasonable price?
