Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a 99 GV 2.0Tdi (Yep the Mazda engine).
I am not going to be off roading loads with it if ever.
BUT, I recently bought some 16" 7.50 Deestone ExtraTraction tyres from a friend. I want to know will they fit the properly or rub? I am not going to be doing a lift kit on the GV because it is being used as my works car and I'm forever towing, thus need the towing stability.
Please can someone help and tell me if they will fit without lifting the GV.
Because if they are no good to me I will be selling them, (all 8 of them). lol.
what the other stuff means like 235/60 R16, (thats what I got on it now). I am going to be purchasing winter tyres and want the biggest traction and hight possible so can anyone also tell me what the biggest tyre size this GV LWB 99' will take please.
If anyone can explain what the 7.50 means I would be greatful too. I know
Thanks guys |

Hi hope this helps when I brought my gv it had 235/65/16 normal road tyres on and these rubbed on the chassis at full lock. I then got some 235/60/16 Yokohama all terrains on and no rubbing, I now have some 205/80/16 mud terrains and with some mods to the inner arch cover have no rubbing, but I have had a 2" suspension lift. If you don't venture much off road I would recommend 235/60/16 at/s as it says in your manual. |
