I've been on the forum for a while now and realised I haven't posted any pics of 'Minty', so here you go....
I hadn't had him home 5 mins before I took it for a greenlane jaunt!
In standard muddy form before I started to modify.
Muddy again.... sporting newly tinted rear quarter windows.
Pretty much how it is today... tinted the rear glass, relocated the rear number plate, added a towbar and a CB antenna on the rear door.
I don't know how that Tonka sticker got there!
Its getting there. Many more modifications planned, just trying to catch up on much needed maintainance that the previous owner didn't do! _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...

I forgot one....
CB installed and custom gear knob drilled and threaded from a genuine pool ball. I will get a 'solid' 7 ball for the transfer shifter eventually. _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...

It fair to say that it has turned out to be not as clean as the pictures suggest, suffering from the usual rust worm behind the headlights and in the rear passenger footwell and other issues like suspected head gasket even though she still pulls very well. Couple those issues with the gearbox going down and the cost out weighing what shes worth, I've decided to cut her loose.... she'll be broken up and her carcass will be going to the big scrapyard in the sky...
Since this realisation I've decided to go shopping for something more practical and have purchased a 5 door Vitara TD! Pics to follow once I get round to it! _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...

Just to bring you all up to speed(to those not on the Facebook group that supports this club!)... I've still got the old girl, fully built up with 2inch bodylift and 2inch suspension lift, custom built front and rear bumpers and resprayed with poundland black rattle cans! And I've since built a 5-door cut-down trailer to match! _________________ Driving a 99' Vitara JX 4U2...
