R reg auto TD Vitara, sometimes stutters and runs rough on start up but not always. Sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.  Hesitates now and then when warmed up and running and on occaision has difficulty with steep hill.  Has been serviced regularly and my local garage have checked wiring etc with no joy.  I suspect it might be a sensor on the pump but have no  way of checking apart  from a Main Dealer but cannot afford their rates.
Anyone have any idea of the most likely culprit please

You need to get a proper diagnosis done, it will cost you more in the long run if you keep paying people to check this and change that. I,m pretty sure a diagnostic check at your local suzuki dealer won,t be as much as you think. You dont have to get the repairs done there, just get the report! Then you can post them on here for help or take it to the garage who took your money checking wireing!!!!!!!!! Stop wasting your time and money looking for a silver bullet. There are some good independent garages out there, but please be careful.
