i have a 88 samurai, ive replaced the starter, and wired in a relay so the starter draws power straight from the battery, but i still get the click click click. every once in a while, it will turn over enough to start, but its rare. I can roll it off and it runs fine. any ideas, it's driving me insane... |

the starter mitors of the sammy are very much prone to sticking.
if its a new/reconditioned unit id be looking at earthing issues.
if its from a mate/breakers yard, id be fairly certain it has the same issue as your original unit.
i stripped mines down and soaked it in diesel overnight and it worked for 6 months or so then became stuck again. _________________ if its got t*ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble!! |

It might be your battery, my bit suffers from clicky started when the bad runs low, get it on some jump leads see if it turns nicely, if not . . . What he said lol ^^^^ _________________ Sometimes i decide against inteligence and opt for something a bit more effective! |
