|
|
I am a new Sukuki Vitara owner, Its a S Reg (98) Vitara4u hard top, 1.6 petrol.
PROBLEM- it seems the manual diff lock hubs are on lock, and I cant get them off...Ive tried multiple ways of turning them, in all the gear combinations... i read somewhere about reversing, so i tried that, i reversed and then tried. ive tried it handbreak on, handbreak off, engine on, engine off. im worried theyre seized on. =L
Its obviously drinking petrol because of this (im guessing it still thinks its in 4wd), and the bad weather has subsided now (fingers crossed) and i dont want to cause unnecessary wear on the hubs.
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thankyou!!

remove them via the 6 allen key bolts and manually turn them. ensure theyre greased or replace if they wont unlock. |
