Hello all,
Finally just about completely rebuilt my vit (1.6 8v, 1996) put the tank on connected everything up an she just won't start. Was running perfect a week ago, checked fuel pump works perfect, fuels getting to and through the filter but just not to the engine. Any ideas? I'm completely puzzled with this one right now, over come every other problem barr this one :/. Any help much appreciated as I need to mot it asap. Had a search but all topics were about over fueling not no fueling lol. Thanks very much in advance, Blair. |

Ok... As it turns out there is no power going to the fuel pump and no power going to the dizzy so no spark! Really puzzled with this one asked the other mechanics at the garage I used to work at and they are puzzled by it as well. Checked all the obvious, all the earths are fine, fuses good, relays are good as well. The ignition still goes on and it will still turn over which leads me to believe that its not the immobilser at fault. After the tank change it started up and ran no bother (just like it used to run perfect!) then after about 3 or 4 seconds it cut out and has been dead ever since Really need to get this fixed as my boss is giving me a rite ear full as i need it for work. Thanks very much in advance any help/suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated! |
