Hi, as you can guess, my name is Fred. I bought my 1998, 1.6 Automatic Vitara back in April, I was looking for a Manual version, but most were quite tatty for what I wanted to spend, but the one I have seems fairly rust free, just have to put up with the Auto Box. Up until last year I hated most 4x4's that were just used on the road as I thought they should be used mainly off-road. But due to last Winter and our useless Council not keeping the roads clear, and having to see my Asthmatic wife struggle up the hill to work in the snow, I thought I would try one. Have not been off road in the Vitara yet, but I am loving driving this little 4x4, I should have bought one years ago. A few months later my daughter went out and bought a 2007 Jimny, nice to drive too. Will post some pics soon of both of the little Suzuki's.
