My rear differential seems to have a slight grinding noise whenever im moving. Is this just bc the gears have a lot of play in them bc of their age? or do you think the owner before me did some kind of mod inside the diff? HELP

theres a plug on the back end of the rear diff.... undo that and check the fluid level.

it should be level with the hole when the car is on level ground.

if you want, remove the drain plug from the bottom and change the gear oil to be on the safe side.

it MIGHT cure it but first check the level.
