I have a 87 sammy. It is all stock and gutless... Any upgrades I can do to the stock engine would be nice. It was just rebuilt and would be a waste to just get rid of a new engine. I have looked into carb upgrades but am not sure which one would be best. I want to lift it a bit (not crazy high) Not sure what to start with>.... Any ideas and words of advice would be welcome..

a lot of people drop in the 1600 vitara engine, i know you dont want to change engines but just thought id point out that even the Vit engine will tear out transmission components so unless your plannig on upgrading the whole lot you wont go any faster with more power, you'll just break things.
