hi ive got a vitara m reg just bought it and the steering is wobbly when over 30mph it tends to be all over especially when hit a pot hole etc pratically chucks you to other side of road husbands very mechanical so any info would be great help to get it sorted thanx

there are lots of ball joints and bushes in the steering of a Vitara as it uses recirculating ball steering rather than rack and pinion.

He needs to get under there and have a look and make sure nothing is worn out, also the steering box can be adjusted to take up any wear.

what sort of wheels has it got on it? if its got fatboy wheels on it they do that anyway.

THANX FOR THAT BOUGHT SOME NEW BALL JOINTS AND GOING TO CHECK STEERING BOX ETC ALSO IT HAS GOT FATBOY WHEELS ON BUT A FEW OTHERS WEVE BEEN IN HASNT BEEN LIKE THAT AS IT HAS GOT SOME PLAY IN IT BUT IF ALL FAILS AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE BEEN DONE WILL TRY ANOTHER SET OF WHEELS ON IT BUT THANX A Very Happy LOT FOR THE REPLY
