hi folks, my name is dave, im a mature(!) owner based in livingston, whose missus has just taken delivery this weekend of a new 3 dr grand vitara, SZ3;

im a big fan of owners club/ forums, having just traded in a daihatsu copen, which we had from new, and had loads of help from the web community;

ive only driven the car for first time today, and am very impressed, it seems a lot of car for the money, but one thing i have been struggling to find out about which im sure someone will be able to answer straight away, is why no transfer switch??

the wife had a test drive in one and is sure it had this option, so but im puzzled why its missing and suzuki site doesnt help;

any advice appreciated

thanks

dave

Hi Dave and Welcome to the Forum.  wav

My brother in law picked his 3door vitara up last week. 2.4 petrol SZ3(?) and his is permanent four wheel drive so he doesn't have any control over the transfer box as far as I know. He might be able to lock it in really sticky conditions but only when it's really stuck.

Someone will be along that can give you a little more detailed info, I'm sure.
