Just thought id say hello as ive just registered.
My names Lloyd and im 30, ive just bought my first vitara and its a 95 2.0 v6 lwb, this is also my first 4x4.
I enjoy shooting which is the main reason i got the truck , but i came to own by shear accident really as i was trying to sell a beaten up golf for 150quid and the owner of the vitara asked if i wanted it for the golf if i gave him the money to tax it so i bit his hand off , its in suprisingly good nick too.
Are there any common problems with these engines? it all seems ok to me although a little sluggish ( ive already modified the airbox which has helped this .
well thats all for now

Welcome to the club!
V6 vit is a good choice, I used to have one! Mechanically, these jap v6 jeeps are as tough as old boots, never had problems with mine! For the 2ltr engine you get 136bhp but more torques than the 1.6 example but its not much quicker but has the nicer bits on it over the 1.6 version! The only real problem affects all 4 door Vits is the rust worm gets in the rear arches. If you look after it, she'll look after you!
Any further advice you'll need will be found here somewhere! |

yes the rear arches are mank but are the only rot on it so i will be buying a pair of arches and doing a bit of chopping and welding soon. |
