I have recently bought an 1990 SJ 413, it had no brakes so I couldn't test drive it. I have now sorted the brakes but when I went to drive it it seams very highly geared, to the point that 4wd low feels like I thought High should. It is supposed to have standard Samuria axles & gearbox but with a 410 transfer box (which I was told would make it slower). It has a 1.6 vitara engine which has an adaptor plate on it so I'm sure its not a vitara gearbox & the transfer box has the handbrake on it. Can anyone offer any advice or should I try for a landspeed record in it?
