Tyre pressures are all about volume of air and weight thats being supported, if your running wider tyres than stock, but they are lower profile, you may well have a similar volume of air in the tyre so pressures will need to be similar to standard, less air volume requires more pressure to support the same weight.
however, tyre construction also makes a difference, lower profile tyres often have stiffer sidewalls so less air pressure will support the same weight, basically you need to get the tyre footprint the right shape and then fine tune what feels right to you, to much pressure will ballon the tyre and you'll be running on a narrow section of tread around the centre of the tyre, to little and the tyre will bow and the centre section will lift, wearing the edges instead.
personally i'd start with the stock tyre pressure and experiment carefully. |
