Hi,
Hope i dont bore you lol, on the way home from buying my suzuki i noticed the heater not getting hot , Hmmm something i missed although the temp stays half way.
Next morning i flushed out the rad and pipes, refilled and still the same just cool air. Next job, put a new thermostat in, again still the same.
I spoke to a m8 who told me to take header pipes off and flush them through, still nothing but after getting to temp i undone rad cap and a bit or gurgling hey, i got heat , maybe air in the system?
This was a couple of days ago but today driving along all of a sudden its back to warm air i'm not a mechanic but also sometimes the idle goes up and down between 1000/2000 dunno if this may be something to do with it????? |

Got it working today by taking rad cap off while engine running, sure its air in the system now. |

I have the same problem and still yet to fix the issue. I've even replaced the thermostat to a higher temp one, and still no joy.
Will try your method later. _________________

did you flush it through backwards? that often shifts extra rubbish. if you cant get the air out by just running the engine taking off the highest pipe in the system might let some air out, or jam a garden hose on the bottom heater pipe and fill it that way, it should push the air round better. |
