Hello all. I'm a newbie to 4x4s and purchased a 05 plate Jimny 1.3 JLX MT last January. It has been absolutely superb with the severe winter(s) we've had in Scotland this year and is just coming up to 42,000 miles. What i would like to know please is when should i get the timing belt changed and how much should it cost from a "reputable" local garage? Should i get it serviced also, it last got a service in January but i don't know what that involved. I look forward to your replies. Many thanks |

about an hour labour on a single and maybe a bit more on a double.
and i think its 60,000 miles for the belt _________________ the car in front is a toyota...

Hello zocko, many thanks for replying. It's a DOHC. If it's 60,000 miles then I have a little bit of time before I need to replace the belt. Thanks again for your reply. |
