Hi

I have just bought a vitara, R reg 16v injection.

problem is it does not run. anyone got any ideas as to what it can be?

I have been told if you hard wire the injecors to the ignition they will then work but this is only what i have been told so ?

any ideas at all please.

I do have an 8v carb engine, if all else fails is it a direct swap because then i can get rid of the injection system. or will the carb setup bolt straight onto the injection engine.

are the gearboxes on the carb cars and injection cars the same.

is this a direct engine swap i am just thinking about getting the car back on the road as easily as possible.

does any one know if the outer sills are the same for all 2 door SWB vitaras from 88 to 2000 and does anyone know where to buy inner sills

Thanks in advance all ideas gratfully received

i would persist with the 16v engine as you get better fuel efficiancy. is the car turning over? have you got sparks to the plugs?
