Hi guys

Just bought my first ever car, a 1991 Suzuki Vitara 5 door, Automatic.

200,000 kms and in very good condition. Should be an excellent first car and also allow me to get out and 4x4 in the Aussie bush.

However...I did not get an owners manual with it and I need to know where the oil level should be on the dipstick.

The dipstick has two holes at the bottom, about an inch apart.

Should the oil level be between the two holes or above the top hole?

Many thanks: Shalako.

hole nearest the end is minimum level and the other hole is maximum.

ideally it should be about three quarters of the way from the bottom hole to the top hole

Hey Zocko

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question mate.

I'm just now working out that the O/D Power light on the dash is the button on the gearstick.
Increases the gear ratios?

And the N/P button down near the gearstick is normal and extra power I guess.
