I have a couple of holes in my sills , no longer rusty as i have cleaned them up nicely, the biggest hole is about 6 cm long and 1 cm wide , the other 2 are much smaller.

Will these fail the MOT ? there are no sharp edges on them

I ask this as I didn't think that samurai sills were structural ( separate chassis and what not )  or am i totally wrong ?
can I do a simple repair with epoxy resin on these ? ( sets like metal)

Cheers mates Smile

The best thing to do is cut the holed metal out and weld in some new. Then waxoyl them from the inside.

although the sills arent part of the structure (cos of the seperate chassis) they still form part of the mot if theyre either sharp or theyre within 12 inches of a body mounting point (which it sounds like your rust is...)
